Sound Generation using Facial Expressions

We present an audiovisual creativity tool that automatically recognizes facial expressions in real time, producing sounds in combination with images. The result of facial expression classification (i.e. emotion type such as angry, disgusted, happy, etc.) is coupled with a combination of sounds that change in real time based on the person’s displayed mood.
